The Cross on Ocean Isle Beach marks the area where the Ocean Isle Beach Chapel has Church service on the beach on Easter Sunday then Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend It's such a wonderful experience to worship our Lord and Savior while literally sitting on the Beach and taking in the beauty of what our Father created...if u ever visit OIB, NC you must attend the service on the Beach and or visit the OIB Chapel...it is come just as you are, shorts & flip flops, always casual...we are there to Worship NOT to put on a fashion show...there is no membership and no permanant pastor...always a visiting congragation and a visiting pastor...Pastors of all denominations from the US and all over the world come to OIB to preach the Word of God...OIB was discovered by Odell & Virginia Williamson and was dedicated to God...the Chapel was built and donated to the island so visitors would have a place to worship on their vacation...
